Untitled 2

First things first. I do not hate tigers and I certainly don't hate vegetarians. Especially when they look like Natalie Portman. But this rant is not about that. It is about- Guilt and how different campaigns have used this factor in promoting whatever that they are promoting.

Let's take Facebook as the canvas for these campaigns. One acquaintance's status a week back read: Today is the International Day against cancer....In memory of those who lost the battle against cancer and for all those who fought and won or continue to fight to win... 93% of you will not copy and paste this text; I am proud to be part of the 7% who will..

Now, I don't see the point of how writing this on your wall can actually help people who have cancer. But that is a different story for a different time. What pisses me off, and yes, I do get pissed very easily, is that they have used guilt as their main factor. The 93% plays a significant role in the mindset of people, who are then obliged to put this status up, regardless of them truly caring or not.

I am not saying that everyone would fall for this and do so. Just that fact that it is most and high probability that one does so cause of guilt. Yes, it can be argued, that people truly believe in the campaign. But that in my honest opinion and very kindly, is a load of bullshit.

Then there is this latest agenda of saving Tigers in India. Well, Tigers should be saved and I am truly for that. But why would one join a Facebook group called- Save 1411 Tigers, If u see this page N ignore Means u want them to die.

And what's worse is not the fact that the person who made this group types like an idiot, but the fact that he is using guilt as a factor again. If I see this page and ignore it, I want tigers to die? How is that even logical or rational? What makes me want tigers to die by not joining this ridiculously framed group?

The whole concept of making people do something by making them feel bad, if they do not do it, is in actuality the sociology of our society. We look at things from an angle that per say is not a negative one, but an angle where we do things only if we are told that something bad will happen.

Another one of these nitwits is the PETA. I absolutely hate these tree huggers who are more a terrorist organisation, if I must say. And I will. Their campaigns are filled with guilt. They should rather talk about the good of vegetarianism than have a go at the meat eaters. I love how single minded they are at what they do, it really does cringe me.

Please do not bother sending me these page suggestion and group recommendations. They are a waste of time and serve absolutely no purpose. Unless of course you are cute.

  1. i completely agree with the part that mentions PETA(and why single out just them,95% of vegetarians i know do that)taking potshots at meat-eaters rather than highlighting the positives of vegetarianism.Whats most infuriating is that they indirectly portray us as lesser beings i mean its my own fucking decision to eat whatever i wish whether its chicken or grass or even beef..

  2. It's natural to eat meat. I don't mind if one is a vegetarian, but don't go ooh when I am tearing apart my food
